What is Gran Fondo?

Gran Fondo is the most attractive and the most elite road-cycling race of today, for recreational and professional cyclists combined. It is the most important global cycling event, that gained huge popularity and expansion during and after the Covid-19 pandemic.

The first Gran Fondo race in Macedonia will be held on the 18th of September in the capital, Skopje. Both the country and the city will mark their place on the world cycling map, together with the other big cycling events that are being held in other world-class cycling countries.

The curiosity of this race is the ability to participate – every individual owning a bicycle can be a part of a Gran Fondo race. The registration can be made only via the official website of the race, in the section “Registration” – en.granfondo.mk.

Next year, Skopje will host the Gran Fondo European Championship 2023.
